INSEAD ifs/Henry Grunfeld Foundation Scholarship

Description:

Henry Grunfeld was a co-founder of S.G. Warburg, the UK investment bank that became one of the largest securities firms in the world, combining merchant banking, securities broking and market-making. The Henry Grunfeld Foundation, which is currently administered by the Institute of Financial Services (ifs), has pledged scholarships for MBA candidates who demonstrate a commitment to a career in investment banking. Two or three scholarships are awarded per intake.

Eligibility:

Candidates with a UK background with an interest in pursuing a career in investment banking. Preference will be given to candidates who demonstrate financial need.

Essay topic :

1).In no more than 700 words address the following questions: Why are you interested in a career in investment banking, and what contribution do you hope to make in this field? How do you expect the INSEAD MBA to support this ambition?

In reviewing the essays, the selection panel will be looking for evidence of an understanding of the investment banking sector and supporting ambitions which are both imaginative yet tempered with realism.


2).Provide a concise but accurate description of your financial circumstances as well as a cash flow forecast for the year at INSEAD (details of income set against all expenditures). (150-200 words)

Amount of Award:

up to €12,500

Scholarship Application Deadline:

13 February each year for the July Class (starts in September).
22 August each year for the December Class (starts in January).
