Message from the Director
Vic Woo Ph.D.
Director of INSEAD San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation
INSEAD's hub in San Francisco opens a new world of opportunities for our community to collaborate and engage with a dynamic ecosystem of innovators.
The San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation convenes leaders from our global business school and a city renowned for its innovative tech start-ups to connect and use innovation to solve critical problems in business and society.
The activities happening at the INSEAD San Francisco Hub are expected to grow our community within the Bay Area and beyond, reaching across North America.
The Business School for the World
As one of the world’s leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD brings together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society. Our research, teaching and partnerships reflect this global perspective and cultural diversity.
INSEAD has been a global leader in business education and research for six decades. We launched the world’s first one year MBA in Fontainebleau, France in 1959. In the year 2000, we opened the Asia Campus in Singapore and became the first business school with campuses on two continents. Our Middle East Campus in Abu Dhabi opened in 2010 with innovation in focus. The San Francisco Hub in North America is our latest venture, a space to forge connections and build on 60 years of excellence.
Historically, INSEAD has opened locations at the right place at the right time in centers of growth and innovation. The opening of the San Francisco Hub for Business Innovation adds to INSEAD’s solid track record of firsts over its 60-year history.

INSEAD is an institution that offers more than business education, it connects the world. The San Francisco Hub is a further link in a global chain that already includes Europe, Asia and the Middle East, equipping executives to build successful and responsible businesses. INSEAD certainly helped to propel my thinking, and my career, and I am proud to be an alumna.

INSEAD’s global perspective and remarkable diversity enabled my 30+ year career in the cruise industry. The opening of The Hub will create new opportunities for many professionals to expand their own knowledge and to connect on an international level, which is a priceless experience.
